Are you the peer, the escapist, or the fearless?

We all have one thing in common.

An opportunity.

An opportunity to live this life that has been awarded to us, by we dont know whom.

With this opportunity that we are presented with, it is our responsibility to not just live it, but use it well.

What is using it well?

The opportunities that we all have in life

What do we do on an everyday basis?

  1. There is waking up in the morning, and undertaking a morning routine, to clear ourselves of all that is, that is waste from yesterday.

  2. Once the clearing and washing up is complete we move on to energizing ourselves with food, to remain active and be involved with what may come upon us that day.

  3. We then either get onto the 9–5 job that pays us, or execute the duties entrusted upon us by the people around us. We try to be of service in one way or another, to another human.

  4. Once our duties are done, it feels like a necessity to engage in some form of entertainment, either with ourselves and some form of theatre or engaging in social activities with more people to pass time. To imagine that we are having a great time. Food that is exotic or regular, depending on one’s interest happens.

  5. We then, either on a schedule that is good for our body and mind, get to bed at a decent time, or shorten the sleep that we get, by over indulging.

  6. Then, the next day a similar schedule begins.

It is better to at least have a monotonous routine like the one described, rather than not having anything to do at all. That is what the majority of the world would think, because what is the other route. An escapist, who pursues escapism.

Escapism is when one isn’t doing one’s duty, and just entertaining themselves boundlessly. But what would we call the persona who pursues the everyday routine discussed above?

A peer.

A peer is someone who is at a loss of original inspiration. They undertake a strenuous act just to fit in with the rest of the peers (society). They undertake a duty to pass days by and mainly, they have a fear of being alone.

I see around me, people of my own age, and above and below, using their lives in certain ways, that is always dictated or inspired by the peers around. It has become an inseparable idea in this society to follow, because of one thing. Fear.

An escapist does not have fear of society. They live for themselves. They make their own decisions to separate themselves from the rest of this world’s activities, they do not compare themselves to others and they mostly live life freely. The only catch is, it is a purgatory state, because life will throw something from somewhere and make an escapist change track to become serious at some point. And when life does that, what can an escapist, who was very close to becoming a spiritual guru, do?

Become a peer? — That is the known and safest option.

There is actually no other way visible to the human eyes and audible to the human ears other than fitting in. Is there?

That is where what we introduced this blog with, the opportunity that this life has handed us, the one thing we all have in common, comes to play. Those who have the time and energy to think about it can definitely tap into it.

If you still don’t know what it is, I will spell it out for you.

You do not have to become a peer. You do not have to be an escapist either. You become the fearless.

A fearless person’s actions would always, only be motivated by truth. Being true to oneself in any given scenario is what is needed to live this life, filled with opportunities all around you, in the most fulfilling way.

Decide today that you will not do anything for the society, but only yourself. And you will do everything that you want and do it without fear.

Use this opportunity that ‘that person’ has offered you, well! — Make decisions that sit well with the true you and you’ll actually be happy, without much regrets.
